چکیده
Combining phase-dependent photoluminescence (PL) measurements and quantum chemical calculations is a powerful approach to help understand the influence of molecular surroundings on PL properties. Herein, phosphine functionalized amidinate was used synthesize recently presented bimetallic gold complex, featuring an unusual charge separation. The latter subsequently as metalloligand yield heterotetrametallic complexes with Au-M-M-Au “molecular wire” arrangement (M=Cu, Ag, Au) metallophilic interactions. All compounds show bright phosphorescence in solid state, also at ambient temperature. effect environment studied detail for these tetrametallic by comparative solution, state gas phase contrasted time-dependent density functional theory computations.

Synthesis and characterization of bis-cyclopropanated 1,3,5-tricarbonyl compounds. A combined synthetic, spectroscopic and theoretical study.
Bis-cyclopropanated 1,3,5-tricarbonyl compounds were prepared by a sequence of Claisen condensations and cyclopropanations. The optimization of the conditions proved to be very important to suppress retro-Claisen reactions. The conformation of these molecules was studied by experimental and computational methods. The syn/syn;syn/syn conformation is present for all derivatives. It is exclusively...
متن کاملLuminescence in Sulfides: A Rich History and a Bright Future
Sulfide-based luminescent materials have attracted a lot of attention for a wide range of photo-, cathodoand electroluminescent applications. Upon doping with Ce 3+ and Eu 2+ , the luminescence can be varied over the entire visible region by appropriately choosing the composition of the sulfide host. Main application areas are flat panel displays based on thin film electroluminescence, field em...

Optically stimulated luminescence in synthetic quartz
Optically stiniulated luminescence (OSL). has been studied in synthetic quartz crystals. which had previously been exposed to Jtor X-irradiations. The main emission hands appeared at 380 and -~440 nm. The excitation spectra of these emission bands were now measured and showed both a maximum at 330nm. This maximum coincides with an excitation maximum of the phototransferred thermoluminescence (P...
متن کاملTime-Resolved Luminescence Detection and Imaging Promises a Bright Future
Fluorescence/phosphorescence (referred in this article simply as luminescence) based-detections arguably are the most widely used detection technique for biological assays, imaging, and sensing. This is primarily due to its high detection sensitivity and the commercial availability of a large number of fluorescence probes [1-3]. Key to the usefulness of luminescence methods is the ability to se...
